Skunk2 Racing valve springs are made from the hightest quality chrome silicone wire from Japan. These valve springs are designed from experiences in touring car and drag racing. The dual interference fit valve spring design prevents harmonic spring surge and valve float. All valve springs are race tested and proven and can be used with both forced induction and naturally aspirated engines.
Skunk2 Racing retainers are CNC machined from super-strong aerospace quality titanium and are designed to significantly reduce overall valvetrain mass. They are machined to extremely close tolerances in order to ensure properly installed spring heights and pressures.
Made from SAE EV8 stainless one piece forgings which are heat treated using a proprietary heat treatment process. After CNC-machining and swirl polishing, a PVD black nitride coating is applied to reduce friction and increase wear resistance.
