Bilstein Shocks - B/HD Series, GMC
|
Bilstein Shocks For most vehicles including full-size sedans, wagons and most trucks, these shocks provide improved handling and stability without sacrificing ride comfort.Their superior damping ability makes them ideal for heavy hauling or occasional off road use --- while still maintaining an exceptional street ride. As with all Bilstein shocks, these shocks instantaneously self-adjust to changing road surfaces. In addition, their performance does not gradually decline from age, use or heat --- requiring no compensating manual adjustments as with conventional multi-tube shocks.

 Eibach Pro-Dampers, GMC
|
The Eibach Pro-Kit has been designed to perform well in conjunction with Original Equipment Dampers as well as other aftermarket Performance Dampers. Both of these dampers were designed around the original equipment springs and while they add a level of performance to the vehicles suspension, additional performance can be obtained with a damper tuned specifically to match the characteristics of the Pro-Kit.The engineers at Eibach based their development of the Pro-Damper solely around the unique characteristics of the Eibach Pro-Kit allowing the vehicle to take full advantage of the increased spring rate and vehicles new lower center of gravity. The result is additional performance throughout the entire working range of the suspension. The development starts with an Aftermarket Sport Performance Damper which is then tested and modified in conjunction with the manufacturers proprietary components. Once the Eibach Engineers finalize their development, the new characteristics are incorporated into an exclusive production series by the original manufacturer.

Tokico Shocks & Struts - HP Series, GMC
|
Tokico non adjustable shocks & struts.
Conventional shock absorbers are among the simplest and oldest of shock designs. They are common on many trucks, older cars, and a few newer cars. They are also one of the least expensive shocks.
Struts are units that combine the shock absorber with a stressed part of the suspension. The struts allows auto manufacturers to eliminate the upper control arm and upper ball joint. They use a large diameter piston rod and are quite a bit larger and heavier than conventional shock absorbers. Most struts also combine the lower spring perch or seat into their construction.
Strut cartridges were developed as replacements for rebuildable struts. While they are still being used, most newer cars use what are called sealed or non-rebuildable struts.

Spring seat, coilover, and coil-around are all terms used to describe this shock absorber. While they look like struts, they are actually shock absorbers with spring seats mounted on the body. They are not only smaller than struts overall, their piston rods are 25% to 60% smaller than struts.

Tokico TrekMaster Shocks and struts for trucks, GMC
|
The new TREK MASTER R/T shock absorbers by TOKICO use the latest technology to attack the problems of proper damping control on trucks and SUVS.
The TREK MASTER combines TOKICOs multi-stage variable-aperture piston and sandwich valve system, with a new base valve design that provides a 4-stage dual blow-off compression cycle. What all of that means is, the TREK MASTER can provide a level of handling, traction, and ride quality unmatched by other shock absorbers. In addition to the very sophisticated damping system, TREK MASTER shocks feature a low mechanical drag rod guide and piston seal design. The result is a shock with as much as 65% less mechanical drag than other shocks. Smooth operation and long life are among the benefits
The sophisticated oil-flow management system offers the capability to provide:
- Reduced body roll
- Improved steering response
- Minimal pitch and dive
- Reduced wander due to side winds
- Better cornering
- Reduced bottoming
- Better braking
- Improved ride quality
