Apexi N1 Damper ExV (Expert Type V) is the newest edition to our high performance street line of coilover suspension. The Expert Type V (ExV) is a full coilover suspension featuring a threaded base for precise ride height adjustment without compromising shock or spring travel. We have taken our street suspension to the next level for 2005 by including high performance upper mounts and 32 way ride quality adjustment for street cars that are used at the track as well. The spring rates and internal valving of the ExV has been completely refined for excellent ride quality and sports driving. The ExV was designed to cater exclusively to US market vehicles. With this in mind, internal components have been specifically engineered to withstand harsher road conditions and increased wear caused by everyday street driving. The Expert Type V was developed based upon user requests for a high performance damper that does not carry a typical racing suspension price tag. This system stands as our commitment in providing our customers with the ultimate in quality and affordability.

The N1 Evolution is the newest generation of our track engineered flag ship N1 suspension. All N1 dampers feature large piston, monotube design using a threaded base for height adjustments without compromising shock or spring travel. Every year, we gather incredible amounts of suspension data from our direct involvement in many different racing series. This specialized data goes directly into our sports parts development to provide the customer with the same cutting edge suspension technology we use on all of our race vehicles.

In many respects, circuit competition is regarded as racing in its purest form. APEX has been at the forefront of this arena for years, building time attack vehicles for competition in top level events and racing series. We have worked side by side with many of the worlds most talented drivers and top racing teams. Every race serves as an invaluable opportunity to refine our suspension setup and take note of what effects various changes make to a race car. The N1 Evolution CIRCUIT damper was developed using the same principal setups that we would use in one of our own competition track cars. This is the ultimate no-nonsense coilover for those looking to shave precious seconds from their lap times. It has a piston diameter of 52mm.

The Hipermax III Sport series has firmer spring rates and valving to take advantage of the smoother, more consistent pavement of race tracks allowing quicker, more precise transient response and instant direction changes necessary in competition. In addition, the Hipermax III Sport incorporates HKS' all-new Hiper Linear Piston fluid-channel system, shock-body length adjustability (most applications) and ultra-thick chrome plating of the cylinder shaft for excellent durability and reduced stiction (static friction). TEAS stands for 'Tanabe Electric Active Suspension and is the counterpart of the new Sustec Pro FIVE & Sustec Pro SEVEN suspension. This compact unit is the brain behind the highly sophisticated new Tanabe suspensions. TEAS is a fully programmable dampener controller that allows for dampening force to be automatically adjusted while driving. TEAS accomplishes this by connecting and using the signal from the vehicles Speed Sensor.

Remote dampening control from within the vehicle is not a new concept by any means. In fact, many Japanese vehicles from the 1980's including the FC3S RX-7 and MA70 Supra had buttons to change dampening ; Unlike other controllers that are simply an update of this older technology, TEAS is a much larger step towards highly digital advanced suspension control and tuning through its speed sensing TEAS active dampening control is uniquely possible due to the use of the specialized valving of the SEVEN, in conjunction with TEAS; slim, high speed actuators. These actuators change dampener settings in 1/100ths of a second, which is necessary as TEAS can continuously change settings at different speeds.

Type RS damper has the advantage over the RA and RE with its damping force adjustment feature. With separate compression and rebound adjustment (16 levels X 16 levels), this allows the driver to set up the suspension damping force to meet any track conditions. Furthermore, wishbone suspension and multi-link suspension have a reserve oil tank for larger oil capacity. Strut type dampers are designed with inverted shocks for more horizontal stability.
