Bilstein Shocks For most vehicles including full-size sedans, wagons and most trucks, these shocks provide improved handling and stability without sacrificing ride comfort.Their superior damping ability makes them ideal for heavy hauling or occasional off road use --- while still maintaining an exceptional street ride. As with all Bilstein shocks, these shocks instantaneously self-adjust to changing road surfaces. In addition, their performance does not gradually decline from age, use or heat --- requiring no compensating manual adjustments as with conventional multi-tube shocks.
KYB GR-2 Premium Shocks and Struts are specially designed to provide a smooth, secure ride with excellent control for drivers who are looking for ride comfort and improved handling. With its patented check valve, the KYB GR-2® Premium Shocks and Struts always maintain excellent performance under even the roughest conditions. It also provides comfort and control that is often better than original equipment. KYB GR-2® Premium Shocks and Struts are available for virtually all vehicles on the road today.
Tokico non adjustable shocks & struts.
Conventional shock absorbers are among the simplest and oldest of shock designs. They are common on many trucks, older cars, and a few newer cars. They are also one of the least expensive shocks.
Struts are units that combine the shock absorber with a stressed part of the suspension. The struts allows auto manufacturers to eliminate the upper control arm and upper ball joint. They use a large diameter piston rod and are quite a bit larger and heavier than conventional shock absorbers. Most struts also combine the lower spring perch or seat into their construction.
Strut cartridges were developed as replacements for rebuildable struts. While they are still being used, most newer cars use what are called sealed or non-rebuildable struts.

Spring seat, coilover, and coil-around are all terms used to describe this shock absorber. While they look like struts, they are actually shock absorbers with spring seats mounted on the body. They are not only smaller than struts overall, their piston rods are 25% to 60% smaller than struts.
Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks and struts were designed for tuning street suspensions.
For the serious enthusiast, TOKICO offers 5-position adjustable shocks and struts called Illumina. The adjustment system provides you with the ability to set your car up for a variety of uses.
Even so, some units work quite well on the race track. Steeda, a well known Mustang tuner, has used Illumina adjustables very effectively on both their road race and their drag race cars. The Illumina units not only work well, but Steeda people have been very pleased with their durability.
A simple click of a screwdriver allows you to change for ride or handling balance. So whether you are going to the track, or simply cruising, the Illumina range of adjustment can adapt to your needs.
The Tokico D-Spec (dampeing specific) is a new extra-wide range adjustable damping system by Tokico. The extra-wide range makes it possible to use D-Spec for street, auto cross, drag racing.
The capability of the D-Spec 16-way adjustable damper to be such a multi-use product, results from a sophisticated piston and valving design, combined with a unique variable-aperture bypass controlled by an adjustable slide valve. D-Spec adjustments change both rebound and compression damping simultaneously. Between the hard and soft settings, the D-Spec is infinitely adjustable.
Each set includes a manual giving pointers on how to adjust the D-Spec as well as various suspension tuning tips.
