The Apexi AVC-R is a digital boost controller that allows the user to modify the boost pressure level on turbocharged vehicles. While there are many boost controllers on the market, none of the other includes as many features as the AVC-R, period. Despite all of the complex features included the unit, the AVC-R is flexible enough to be used by beginners. Entry level users need only to input a desired boost level and the AVC-Rs trademark self learning CPU processor does the rest.
The AVC-R also uses a highly durable, fast action solenoid valve to physically control the boost . The valve movement (Boost Duty Cycle) can also be modified. Raising the duty cycle increases boost response, while lowering the duty cycle will slow boost response. This feature allows boost response adjustment for varying turbo sizes. Since larger turbos take longer to spool up ( bad low end response) the duty cycle should be raised under lower RPMs for better response. The opposite should be done for smaller turbos ( excellent low - mid range response, but limited top end power.) APEXi engineers address this issue by including extra menus for RPM based boost control. Drag racers may want to utilize the Gear based boost control function. Aside from the basic functions above, the AVC-R has a Start Duty Setting (allows the boost to momentarily overshoot according to gear).
The AVC-R also includes a Scramble Boost function which allows the user to momentarily raise or lower the boost level at the push of a button. Raising the boost level is commonly used when an extra burst of power is needed (ex. entering a freeway). This feature can also be used in drag racing. The driver can set the main boost level to a low setting for maximum traction then, once full traction is achieved, the scramble boost can allow the vehicle to boost full power.
The AVC-R displays data in three different modes: Numerical, Analog, and Graph. Numerical Mode allows the user to monitor up to four different parameters in numbers and also shows peak hold values on demand. The Analog Mode displays up to two values in an easy to read meter style display. Peak Hold is also included in this function. The Graph Mode offers real time graph plotting with a Ghost map trace feature built in. The graph can replay movement up to 60 seconds.

Based on the very popular B-Spec., the all new PRofec B-Spec. II's basic function to increase boost is as easy as the original, with an added built in boost pressure display and optional features like real-time, peak or last boost display (in either kPa or PSI). There are optional warning and boost limiter functions that can be programmed to offer much more control. The two presets values can be stored and are executed by a larger capacity inline solenoid valve. This unit does not require extensive programming and is ideal for low to high boost levels for single or twin turbos with actuator or external wastegates. The GReddy PRofec B-Spec. II is available in black or silver cased head units.
The optional wireless remote switch allows you hands-free modulation between high boost and low boost settings on both boost controllers. When used with optional voltage adapters, it can be used as a momentary switch for NOS, Line Lock, etc...
BCC allow the factory ECU limiters to be eliminated electronically, by wiring the unit directly into the factory ECU harness. While the SCC eliminates factory speed cut off for most Nissans and Toyotas, an added feature for the SCC is its speed trigger feature that can be used on future products.
GReddys new super multi-tasker is the PRofec e-01. Designed as a combination: boost-controller, data display / logger and e-manage programmer, the e-01 can provide superior boost response, increased boost, warning meter functions, 3channel data-logging, and access to all the programming features provided with the latest e-manage support tool. Even when used as just a boost controller the e-01 has features to smooth out the boost curve. With both an Auto and Manual setting for both external and actuator style wastegates, the new PRofec can alter its new compact, high capacity solenoid valve via various RPM ranges if need be. The large LCD screen, with green elecro-illuminesant backlighting is easy to see. Other standard features includes two preset boost levels, a timed over-take boost and compatibility with our Remote Switching System. The data display can view 3 different data channels simultaneously; like Boost, RPM, or any other channel inputted by the emanage. The data can be logged up for 3hours on a SD card while also giving warning set points, and peak & hold values. (Some features require optional harness to be access)
As easy to use as a manual boost controller, but with advanced electronic boost controller response & consistency, the PRofec Type-S keeps things simple. Based on the ever-popular Original PRofec B-Spec, the Type-S has two rotary switches to select two independent boost setting (a Lo. and a Hi.), while another "Gain" switch compensates the wastegate%u2019s valve response. Now, matched with a quick acting, large capacity inline control solenoid, the Type-S can increase boost as high as 3.0kg/cm2 (42.66psi) and it works with both integral and external wastegate set-ups, while still being compatible with our Remote Switching System or SCC & adapter.
The new HKS EVC is the 5th generation of the coveted HKS Electronic Valve Controller series of boost controllers. The current evolution of the EVC has made it more compact and user friendly, while offering additional new features and a new contemporary design.
The HKS VBC is a manual boost control system that utilizes a pneumatic regulating valve to manipulate boost pressure levels. The VBCs are designed to work with single or dual port actuator wastegates and utilize control valves that can be installed within the cockpit for convenient access or in the engine bay for simplicity. Vehicle specific VBC kits include all the necessary hardware for a complete installation.
VBC, Variable Boost Controller, is a manual boost control system that utilizes a pneumatic regulating valve to manipulate boost pressure levels. The VBCs are designed to work with single or dual port actuator wastegates and utilize control valves that can be installed within the cockpit for convenient access or in the engine bay for simplicity.
