AEM Tru-Time Cam Gears

AEM Cam Gears Tru-Time adjustable cam gears enable an engine"s cam timing. Increase horsepower and torque without any cam changes, and are ideal for heavily modified engines. True laser-etched markings on the leading edge of the gear allow for quick, accurate adjustment. Grade-8, six-point hex bolts stand up to repeated adjustments and feature integral washer flange for greater load distribution.

HKS Camshafts	HKS high performance camshafts are CAD designed to optimize torque and horsepower over the widest possible power band. Each camshaft application is offered in multiple profiles, each with their own lift & duration characteristics to suit various levels of tuning. Lower profiles offer substantial gains in power and a broad useable power band with little compromise in drivability. Higher profiles offer greater increases in power, but are tailored for the higher RPM range and racing applications. HKS camshafts are not reground OEM units; they are machined from new billet cores which are constructed from a high nickel content iron alloy. By manufacturing all camshafts from billet cores, HKS is able to produce camshafts that equal or exceed the quality of the OEM units they are designed to replace. HKS camshafts are direct replacements and are designed to be compatible with the factory valve train components. However, due to the higher profile of HKS camshafts, HKS high performance valve springs are highly recommended, and required in certain applications.

HKS Adjustable Cam Gears	HKS Adjustable Cam Gears HKS Adjustable Cam Gears allow fine tuning of the camshaft timing to maximize engine performance and tailor power characteristics for various driving conditions. Either with OEM or HKS Camshafts, adjustments can be made to tune an engine%u2019s power band to the optimum RPM range for a particular application. HKS Cam Gears are made completely of anodized Duralumin with nickle plated gear teeth except for applications with timing chains which utilize an aluminum slide with steel teeth. HKS engineers chose Duralumin as the core material for HKS Cam Gears because its lightweight properties decrease drag on the engine. Precise valve timing can be adjusted and set within the range of ± 20° along a Vernier scale of 2° intervals. Each interval index is laser-etched into the Duralumin and "A" (advance) and "R" (retard) directional markers are also laser-etched on to the cam gear face.

Skunk2 Racing VTEC Camshafts	Skunk2 Racing camshaft profiles are designed using the latest computerized valvetrain and modeling techniques to maximize horsepower and torque. Our camshafts are designed utilizing years of racing experience. These camshaft blanks are cast from the same foundries used by auto manufacturers such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and Mitsubishi, and utilize the latest in Japanese chill-casting technology. Skunk2 Racing camshafts are ground to exact specification using CNC cam grinding machines and are subjected to hours of performance and durability testing. Skunk2 Racing camshafts must pass stringent quality control standards that exceed OE requirements. Stage I: Stage I profiles are designed to offer the widest possible powerband and be compatible with factory valvetrain components. These camshafts are designed to retain stock idle and are currently CARB EO-pending. Upgrading to Skunk2 Racing valve springs is recommended. Stage I profiles are relatively easy to tune for maximum power output. Stage II: Stage II profiles are more aggressive than Stage I profiles, and are designed for modified engines operating at higher rev ranges. Upgrading to Skunk2 Racing valvetrain components is required for proper operation. Stock idle and emission characteristics may be slightly compromised, but fair-to-good driveability allows them to still be used on dual-purpose vehicles. Proper tuning, an upgraded intake system, and an exhaust system are required in order to maximize the potential of these camshafts. Do not use oversized valves. Stage III: Stage III profiles are designed for purpose-built race engines with high-rpm capabilities only! Upgrading to Skunk2 Racing valvetrain components and extensive engine work is required for the proper functioning of these camshafts. Compression and engine flow must also be significantly increased. Stage III camshafts should be installed and tuned by professional engine builders only! Do not use oversized valves. Turbo: Turbo profiles are designed for engines with forced induction. Aggressive lift and valve opening/closing motions allow these cams to maximize power with a minimum amount of overlap. Each profile is designed with extensive input from the top racers in the sport compact industry. P/N 305-05-0140 IS C.A.R.B EXEMPT. All Other Camshafts Are NOT C.A.R.B. EXEMPT!



Skunk2 Adjustable Cam Gears	Adjustable cam gears allow engine tuners to optimize horsepower and torque by adjusting camshaft timing. All adjustable cam gears are CNC-machined from AL7075-T6 billet aluminum. The 6-bolt design eliminates any chance of slippage, while the hard-anodized finish prevents premature wear. The timing marks are laser-etched and each offer over /- 10 of adjustment. Skunk2"s cam gear design has been proven on race cars in the most extreme conditions, and has proven to be the most reliable cam gear on the market.



Skunk2 Valve Springs	Skunk2 Racing valve springs are made from the hightest quality chrome silicone wire from Japan. These valve springs are designed from experiences in touring car and drag racing. The dual interference fit valve spring design prevents harmonic spring surge and valve float. All valve springs are race tested and proven and can be used with both forced induction and naturally aspirated engines.



Skunk2 Titanium Retainers	Skunk2 Racing retainers are CNC machined from super-strong aerospace quality titanium and are designed to significantly reduce overall valvetrain mass. They are machined to extremely close tolerances in order to ensure properly installed spring heights and pressures.



Skunk2 Valves	Made from SAE EV8 stainless one piece forgings which are heat treated using a proprietary heat treatment process. After CNC-machining and swirl polishing, a PVD black nitride coating is applied to reduce friction and increase wear resistance. Skunk2 Racing valves are lightweight, durable, and offer excellent heat and corrosion resisitance. They are available in stock and over sizes in both standard and high compressions styles.
