GReddy Intercooler Kits
|
The addition of a GReddy intercooler is one of the best ways to safely increase horsepower in a turbocharged engine. By reducing the engine\\\"s inlet temperatures, a denser air charge will enter the engine; this can make more horsepower at the same boost level and even more power at higher boost levels. Even if there is a factory-installed intercooler, generally these stock units are undersized even for factory boost levels. They are usually mounted in awkward locations and become very susceptible to heat saturation. They are not ideal for increased boost levels. Our vehicle specific kits include all the necessary mounts, piping and hoses required to install the kit. All kits are designed with specific cores to provide an ideal compromise of cooling and flow, with the added benefit of style. This is achieved by finding an ideal position and configuration for a wide range of boost levels. Our engineers properly size the number of rows in the core and tune the internal core with either a V-spec. core or with a different inner fin pattern in the R-spec core. All cores are of a lightweight air-to-air, tube and fin design. The high efficiency tube design allows smooth ambient flow for optimum heat dissipation and flow to engine cooling systems unlike typical heavy bar and plate types that disturb ambient flow like a wall, or wing shaped tubes types which flow ambient air so fast there is little time for heat transfer. GReddy intercoolers offer the perfect balance of heat exchanging efficiency and flow. The ends of the cores are TIG-welded and capped off with our smooth flowing heavy-duty cast aluminum GReddy endtanks. Light-weight mandrel bent aluminum piping and/or cast aluminum elbows, complete with hose cuplers, are used to route air charge smoothly to and from the intercooler. |

These kits do not include any intercoolers. They are support items to either change the soft factory hoses to hard pipes or high capacity replacements that allow for re-routing. Universal kits are available for custom making intercooler compresion pipes. |

GReddy Twin Turbo Kit with Intercooler
|
The GReddy Twin Turbo 350Z kit consists of two TD05H 18G turbos, a pair of Type-S external wastegates, two Airinx filter assemblies, a pair of cast turbo manifolds, required piping and hardware, larger main injectors and a preprogrammed e-Manage. Intercooling is handled by a GReddy front-mount, three-row chiller with cast aluminum end tanks. The intercooler is configured with dual inlets and a single 80mm outlet leading to the throttle body. Tuning is accomplished with leading-edge electronics, namely a GReddy e-Manage piggyback computer. The e-Manage commands upgraded 440cc RC Engineering injectors designed to fit the OE intake manifold and get the power flowing while keeping factory-spec duty cycles.
