HKS Intercooler Kit
|
HKS Intercooler kits are application specific upgrade kits for factory intercooled turbocharged vehicles. Designed individually for each application, intercooler size and placement are calculated for maximum efficiency and performance. The intercooler upgrade kits that are designed to mount in the factory intercooler location are enhanced in overall size, flow capacity and cooling efficiency well over the capability of the stock units.
Each HKS Intercooler kit utilizes an application specific tube and fin intercooler core with cast aluminum endtanks, as well as mandrel bent intercooler pipes and silicone joint hoses. The metal intercooler piping of each kit, which replaces the stock rubber hoses that tend to expand under boost, offer increased durability, consistent boost pressure, better response and an attractive appearance. All the necessary brackets, hardware and fittings are also included for a complete bolt on installation.
All application specific HKS Intercooler systems and upgrade kits are CARB exempt. (CARB E.O. #D-186-21).

HKS Sport Turbo Upgrade Kits replace the limited factory turbo with a HKS Signature Series or GT Series Turbo that will dramatically improve horsepower and torque output. All HKS Sport Turbo Upgrade Kits include an internal actuator (wastegate) to regulate boost pressure and typically bolt directly to the factory manifold.
Certain applications include a downpipe and if a downpipe is not included an HKS factory replacement downpipe can be added for increased power and torque. Certain HKS Sport Turbo Upgrade Kits are CARB exempt under E.O. # D-186-20; others are for strictly off-road use only. |

HKS GT Ball-Bearing Turbochargers

HKS GT Ball-Bearing Turbochargers
The HKS GT Series Turbos are based on ball-bearing Garrett units and like the HKS Signature Series have re-engineered compressor and turbine wheels along with specific A/R and trim levels. All GT Series Turbos are designed to be a perfect blend of power and response. HKS achieved this balance by first choosing to use a ball-bearing center cartridge to reduce friction along with an off-center turbo design for improved efficiency and flow. Next HKS carefully tested Trim and A/R levels along with different inlet and outlet diameters to achieve optimal power. The results of this combination are turbos that not only deliver amazing power, but also spool incredibly fast.
HKS GT Series Turbos are offered with a GT25 (T25) and/or T3 footprint and the turbine wheel is constructed of inconel. Inconel is a very expensive material that can withstand extremely high temperatures and is typically only used in the aero-space industry and on race cars. HKS GT Series Turbos are typically available in both external and internal Wastegate configurations. |

HKS Signature Turbochargers
The HKS Signature Series Turbos are Garrett based, but have re-engineered compressor and turbine wheels along with specific A/R and trim levels to maximize power output. The smallest of the HKS Signature Series Turbos is the TO4S which is rated to 550HP and the largest of the series is the HKS flagship turbo the T51R SPL which is rated to 1,000HP. The T51R class of turbos is broken up into two units, the T51R Kai and the T51R SPL which are rated to 800PS and 1,000PS respectively. Both the T51R Kai and SPL utilize a V-band flange and are available with a ball-bearing center cartridge that allows for 11% faster spool up then the standard sleeve bearing versions. |
