Tanabe exhaust, Tanabe medallion racing - Tanabe Racing Development products are developed from innovative technology, born and
bred on the racing circuit, with specifications above and beyond the typical motorsport
quality levels. Tanabe products are rigorously tested in grueling racing series such as
Formula NIPPON, JTCC (Japan Touring Car Championship), and JGTC (Japan Grand Touring
Championship). As a result, Tanabe can offer suspension and exhaust systems that are
designed with driving pleasure as priority one.
Tanabe medallion racing
- 100% of the muffler outer shell is stainless steel. Our competitos use mild steel on
back plate.
- Dual stage aluminized coating over all exhaust piping including inside of piping.
- Each application is tested to insure maximum horsepower increase before it is released.
- Muffler's interior piping is coated to help prevent rusting.
- Muffler's outer shell is 1.2mm thick. Our competitors are only 0.6mm thick.
- Tanabe's muffler design has a deeper, throatier and sportier sound.
Suspension Systems

- High quality SUP9/SUP12 material is used on our springs to reduce
sagging.

50 State Legal Cat. Back Exhaust System
Tanabe exhausts are catalytic-converter back systems produced for street use in the 50
United States and must be used in conjunction with OEM specified emissions equipment.
This is an aftermarket replacement exhaust system, and not a modified OEM exhaust system.
It conforms to California Vehicle Codes #27150, #27151, and #27152. Tanabe exhaust
systems are tested to meet California Code of Regulation requirement Title 13, Article 9,
Section 1036, 95 decibel sound limit when equipped with existing OEM specified
parts.
Tanabe exhaust systems for authorized sale in the United States have
'Tanabe
USA' laser-etched markings on the front cap. Any modification to the
Tanabe system will void
the two year warranty and statement of compliance. Other modifications
to the vehicle emissions system will also void warranty or compliance.
